What ABOUT Fast-Food Workers?

Original post made by Milty, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Jan 24, 2014

Hey, wait a minute. I thought going to college was supposed to ensure that everyone becomes a millionaire! Well, at least they haven't taken to unionizing themselves because, well, we know what THAT brings about! Let's celebrate higher profit margins for the poor, embattled fast-food franchise owners, and may yet another Burger King go up on YOUR block.

Hi...What is it about working people that you like and don't like?

It's just that I enjoy a discounted, fatty, greasy hamburger over a bunch of spoiled college kids who settle for a fast-food job instead of becoming recipients of large inheritances and the like.

And I love big profits for fast-food franchises over union wages. See, the ones with big profits will take their investments to China instead of investing in union workers here. That's American Freedom.

All these college kids and college grad fast-food workers want to do is take money from the rich in order to line their own union-corrupted pockets. Fast-food workers' tyranny over fast-food franchise owners is akin to what the Nazis were doing to the Jews in the 1930s. If this continues I figure to lose some of my inheritance, and I don't like it one bit!

Thankfully, we live in a mostly free country (prior to 2008) with a free market economy. These well educated folks who chose to flip burgers may now have to make the hard choice of worker harder to obtain the job they think they are worthy of. Good luck to ya in this economy.

I'm sure these well-educated college kids are choosing to flip burgers because it's so easy to do. Also, they keep nagging about getting unionized, so they know there's going to be huge (corrupt union) bucks for them at the end of the burger, fries, and coke rainbow. Why choose to work harder when the easy union bucks, with a higher minimum wage, is just around the corner? Our country is in sorry shape when well-educated people choose to work at Burger King rather than do something really difficult, like doing anything in their major. This is Obama's fault. Like Right points out, it's a shame we no longer have a free society. Even extra bolts on the door won't protect us when these fast-food workers start rioting because they want an extra buck per hour. Thugs, every one of them!
