I have a question. How are we to know if it is spare the air day before we light up the fireplace when it is cold? I have had a fire going on all day long and just saw this.

Go to "sparetheair.org".

Hi Paul and Sam,
Go to this link, you can choose to receive a phone call/text/email for spare the air alerts.
Hope this helps.
Wood burning fireplaces should be banned in residential areas. It's okay out in the country or in the mountains, but not okay where there are high concentrations of people. Just say no!
Smokeless, I'm sure you meant for new construction, since most homes have been built with wood burning fireplaces for decades. Of course, this was long before the proliferation of govt intrusion into our daily lives. Apparently, you are in lockstep with this type of govt control, so you are either asthmatic and looking out only for yourself or you are a typical leftist who thinks the govt should dictate every facit of our personal lives. So, which is it?
Don't miss out on the discussion!
