BART Meltdown this morning

Original post made by BART Rider on Nov 22, 2013

The BART system completely died this morning, Friday, Nov 22, 2013 due to a computer malfunction. Some people tweeted that this was probably sabotage by unhappy unions (Cholo, better let the FBI know), the BART officials said it was caused by an aging system and an upgrade that was done the day before.

Sources from a local news source said that BART blamed its aging computer system, saying it needed $15 billion in upgrades over the next 25 years.

We all know these upgrades will not happen since the unions have wiped out any money needed for this by extremely high salary and benefit costs. The unions say that BART is so flush in money that they should get more money in salaries and benefits. The unions could care less about the aging system and the costs to upgrade it. Fixing that would only help the riders and taxpayers, and not the union workers.

Confused a bit about your sentence "The unions could care less about the aging system and the costs to upgrade it."

So, you are stating that the unions care quite a bit? Sounds feasible to me, I suppose.
