Taxpayers are going to be spending a bundle to keep the perp incarcerated. One wonders if he is an illegal. And, yes, as a U. S. citizen and taxpayer I have every right to ask that question, especially given how much Californians pay each year locking up criminal illegals. So, left-wing-loons please hold your howling at bay.

Glad they caught this guy and put him away. Don't know why he thought driving from Sacramento to Pleasanton and leaving the body here would be a good idea. Did he think that we have so many body-in-trash-can cases here that his would be overlooked?

@Primo R. Regardless of whether he is a citizen or not he has to pay the piper for his crime. If he is here illegally, he will serve his sentence and if released, be deported. Ponder this: what if instead of him being "illegal", he was a tourist that happened to kill someone? Legal or illegal, the perp needs to pay for their crime.

A2 Sam. I never saw that he was in Sacramento...they never revealed the details, maybe he worked in Plesanton or somewhere west.

15 to life? with "good behavior" this killer will be out in less than 10 (thx in part to Cali screwed up laws/judicial system)His wife was killed by strangulation (although he has not been charged with the crime) He will kill again and some innocent persons life will be taken. To put icing on the cake, he will get free room/board + health care + gym + educational benefits all compliments of the Cali tax payers.

Time to bring in a sheriff like the guy in AZ.

I am glad it is not my loved one being referred to as the "trash can body".
