Seems like the Pleasanton PD is blaming the Alameda Counry Sheriff's Office for taking so long. Nice blame game!

"The police department has been promised by the Alameda County Sheriff's Office crime lab each week since the incident that results would be coming soon, according to police Sgt. Kurt Schlehuber."

There asking Eric Holders' Department of Justice to get involved. Oh boy, if we needed any additional evedence that the union was involved this is it. Crime ------> Union Involvment ------> Obama sending Holder in to "SAVE the DAY". What more evedence is needed? We live in a union controlled city, sheltered by a union controlled police force, on a leesh of the union controlled "Justice" department. I voted for Obama the first time, but only some idiot would vote for him a second.

Maybe the Alameda County Sheriff should completely take over the Jane Doe case.

I think the Sheriff did a great job with the Castro Valley Jane Doe case. They dug and dug, kept it in the media, even went to Mexico to find out who she was and what happened to her. I get the sense that Pleasanton PD is not treating this case as close their hearts as Alameda County did in the CV case. The cases also look so similar.

After careful mathematical formulation I can tell you that our general economic malaise is contributing to the lethargy of the Ptown Police Dept. If it wasn't ensconced behind a floodbreak to protect it against firings and lay-offs, these guys and gals in blue would be doing a much better job. Instead, they loaf while the sea level goes up and up and up. We'll all be drowning if this public worker entitlement class is allowed to lord over us with their huge salaries and pensions.

Wow Melanie. You did a perfect job of articulating what I've been thinking. I saw a program that told the Castro valley Jane Doe story and the investigators that handled it like it was their own daughter. I really hope Pleasanton police does turn it over. As a resident of Pleasanton for over thirty years I don't think it's a bad thing that they likely lack the experience to handle a murder investigation. If I'm not mistaken, the sheriff also solved the castlewood murder case too.
