Loud Booms in P-town this morning

Original post made by Jumpy on Mar 9, 2012

Has anyone else heard the 2 or 3 loud booms this morning? I am off Vineyard and it was enough to startle me and get the dogs barking.

Any idea what it is and where it is coming from?

I was at a stoplight and heard a huge explosion at the corner of Hopyard and W. Las Positas around 12:20. It was a huge explosion. Everyone sitting in cars at the stoplight was looking around, rolled down their windows, and asked what it was. No one knew.

Does anyone know what it was?

I heard two load booms, about 5 minutes apart, that vibrated our house near Bernal and first. I think it was earlier in the morning. I would like to know what it was.

I heard it was the Dublin police department testing explosives...must have been some explosive! They were really loud! I haven't heard anymore about it though. I heard this through the PUSD.

Jumpy!!! wins! CAMP Parks area is the location where all explosives in the bay area are taken to be detonated.

I heard too! and the dogs went crazy and thought I was crazy for not getting overly excited. It was earlier such as 1030 not 1230.
