Such heartache for our dear friends who lost thier husband, father, and grandfather. May you find peace knowing that he is now with our Heavenly Father. Thank you for your service to our country and God Bless You.

Too bad the locals value trees more than human lives. This is an extremely dangerous road that is badly in need of improvement, but the Sunolians were able to stop the improvements dead in its tracks. They should do some soul searching about how their actions may have contributed to this gentleman's and others deaths.

The poor gentleman died from a medical emergency. If you check your facts,Sunol citizens are not the only people trying to modify the improvements on Niles Canyon..

My prayers are with Penny and her family at this terrible time. Bill was a wonderful person.

Very sad to hear about this today... Bill was a cousin, and one of the nicest, good-hearted people you'd ever meet...

As an ironic twist, I was invloved with the Niles Canyon improvements... From what I understood, the main issue was a fear of increased traffic and speeding, with "safeguarding the trees" used mainly as an excuse to halt the project...
