Look fast, these blossoms are starting to fade

Enjoy these blossoming trees in the Pleasanton library parking lot and throughout the city because they may have jumped the gun as a beautiful harbinger of spring.

They are beautiful indeed.
doesn't matter when they bloom.
they all follow nature's clock not some man made dates.

We keep 30 honeybee hives not too far from downtown Pleasanton. Our hives are VERY busy these days with foraging bees. I haven't opened our hives up yet this season, but, I'm sure that our queen bees have started laying eggs already. This warm weather is certainly helping our bees. But, I'd still prefer to get some rain!

I hate to break the news folks, but this is the time they always blossom. Feb 15th to Feb 30th is usally prime blossom time in Pleasanton.
