New Idea for Downtown Car Show/Cruise

Original post made by Derek on Jan 28, 2012

Well, I read all the comments on my original post and came up with this: Get the city to allow it, but only have fliers downtown. Don't advertise on the radio or make a big deal about it. Just the local hot rodders from Pleasanton and Livermoore. I went to Nostalgia day and nobody shady showed up. It was just a good 'ol car show. Thats what it would be like in Pleasenton.

I long for mid=2oth century rock 'n roll, too. I'd even settle for
1984 !

I have enjoyed the car shows in LIvermore and would like to see some in Pleasanton, but there are problems. My son says he will not take his car to a street show because people do not seem to know how to keep their hand off of the cars. They push strollers and don't pay attention to what they are bumping into . Children are running around the cars and no one is paying attention to them. Yes, street shows can be fun, but not if your paint job gets ruined or you end up with dents.

Tango: Yes, this is true, but if a little toddler touches my 57 chevy, I open up the door and let the kid sit in it, as long as he is respectful. But I also agree with the paint job argument.
