Pleasanton welcomes Esau Cervantes as first baby of 2012

Esau Cervantes was the first baby born in Pleasanton in 2012, at ValleyCare Medical Center, arriving at 1:58 a.m. Jan. 2. The first baby born in the Bay Area was born at the stroke of midnight Jan. 1 at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley.
