Pelosi biggest Bay Area Spended
Original post made by .Penny Pincher on Jan 2, 2012
House MINORITY (sounds so good) LEADER Nancy Pelosi spent ONE MILLION, One Hundred thousand, plus, on local expenses, the most of any Bay Area House member. Incidently, ALL Bay Area Reps are DEMS....zero Republicans. Pelosi's rent for her office space on Seventh, south of Market in San Fran is $18,736. per month.
These year-to-date figures ciscoare ONLY .. THRU .. SEPT 30, the end of the THIRD QUARTER. ...Still some time yet before year-end expenses will be available.
Nancy Pelosi - - - - -$1,130,000.oo
Lynn Woolsey - - - - -$1,102.000.oo
Anna Eshoo - - - - - -$1,065.000.oo
Jackie Speier - - - - $1,053,000.oo
Mike Honda - - - - - -$1,037.000.oo
Barbara Lee - - - - - $1,009.000.oo
Zoe Lofgren - - - - - -$970,000.oo
George Miller - - - - - $950,000.oo
Pete Stark - - - - - - -$941,000.oo
Jerry McNerney - - - - -$838,000.oo
John Garamendi- - - - - $780,000.oo
Remember these were 3rd quarter, 9 month expenses ending Sept 30, 2011.
Pelosi's San Francisco rent of $18,736./mo. is the highest in the nation.
Stark spent THREE times $56,000.oo than the next closest BayArea rep on 'franked mail'....FREE mail to constituents (he has Dem opposition this year...FREE campaigning, can't beat that). In these days of free tweets and emails, it's time this old, very expensive Pony Express carry-over method be stopped NOW !!!!!! Stark also spent twice as much as next in BayArea for PRINTING COSTS $53,489.oo of that FREE CAMPAIGNING MAIL ! ! ! In 2010 Stark spent $100,000.oo on Free Franked mail, plus $69,000.oo on printing and processing.
In these days of free Pleasanton Weekly, free group conference phone calls, twitter, facebook, etc. etc. it is insane for this broke country to be paying for printing and mailing of campaign pieces....anytime....The power of INCUMBENCY !! new people can't get in the race because of money , just to start equal to that free mail.
Don't whine about campaigns, until this has been corrected.
Special holiday memories about family and traditions; do you have one to share?
