With all the robberies going on in PTown these days, isn't it time to get the Pleasanton Police to concentrate less on hiding behind whatever (buildings, signs, bushes) to nab grandma doing 30 in a 25 zone, and doing more to crack down on the robberies, burglaries, muggings and dope dealings????????? It's time to get the cops out of the Amador High parking garage with thier radar guns and deploy them along Hopyard, Santa Rita, and Stoneridge looking for real crooks.

The PPD can't be everywhere! They need to nab the speeders as speed can kill, they also need to be alert about the robbers. Which they have. They can't be at every robbery they are not psychic's. They are doing a great job.

I agree with Shannon. The Police must monitor speeding, robberies, dope dealings, and all the rest. A couple of months ago, at a forum discussing drugs in our schools, an officer on the panel described how they busted a big drug dealer recently. To me, this is evidence that the Police are doing things other than lurking in the bushes trying to bust Grandma for going 5 miles over the speed limit.

I think the increase in robberies has to do with Pleasanton's continued growth and its commercial expansion. Out of town crooks see it as a perfect place to hit and then scadoodle. It's hard to rich, have a nice town and people from outside not see it as a "mark".

@ Freddy Mac- While you are "Hiding" inside your house because you are too scared to do the work of a police officer, you can rest assured the PPD are working 24/7 catching the scary people from whom you hide. We have an outstanding police department in this town, men and women risking their safety to protect people like you, no matter how wrong you are.

Sincerely,

Peter
