Bonds to get 15 months in the slammer while Corsine who "Doesn't know where the money went" and Holder who can't define what a lie is and is ultimately responsibility for the spilled blood as a result of "Fast and Furious" will both walk away without even a hand slap,

Do no raise your kid to be a ball player, raise him to be an attorney or politician.

The newspaper reporter who accepted the Grand Jury testimony should be sentenced to 15 months in jail. Grand Jury testimony is not to be made public. He made of a mockery of our Grand Jury process and wasted millions of tax dollars going after a baseball player accused of taking steroids. Who cares? Is this for real?
Whereas Congressmen-both Republicans and Democrats- are held unaccountable for inside trading violations. By the laws they had written.

Two wrongs do not make one right. Bringing politician's mistakes in the discussion will not make Bond's guilt disappear. He broke the law and he should pay the consequences. So should the politicians, but we are talking Barry Bonds here. Don't try and defend the ball player because he is a ball player. He is no better than anyone.

I must say that Mort has a good point regarding our "esteemed" elected officials. I don't mean to minimize the actions that Barry Bonds took, however they do pale when we consider the legalized thievery practiced by our elected representatives. It seems each day, more comes out on how the people in Washington D.C. that supposedly represent us are only enriching their own coffers.

Barry Bonds has already given a portion of his life as the roids will certainly diminish his lifespan. Skinny dudes live, big dudes die. Hope he lives and gets probation.

I'm not a sports fan and yet I just don't get the point of all this. So he lied about taking steroids. Who gives a crap? Who did he hurt beside himself/his health? Politicians, financial execs and business execs lie all the time, hurt/destroy the lives of innocent people and at best they get a slap on the hand. The prosecutor should be fired for wasting tax dollars on his relentless pursuit of 'justice'.

I thought the subject was the A's................??
I personally think the A's would be better off in Santa Clara or San jose. I am NOT an AL fan, anyhow, and obviously there are NOT enough of them to jusfify keeping the A's in a failing City. Put your money where your mouth is, folks!
If YOU owned a multi-million dollar business -- the A's, for instance, --- would you really CHOOSE to locate in a City with their lack of leadership, murder rate, crime, etc., etc????? I doubt it. Why COMPEL the A's to stay, then? Oakland, and other cities like them, with the same problems, have to WAKE UP and ACT like a REAL, enticing CITY if they want to retain major league sports franchises. I wouldn't put my money on Oakland, Thank You.
