Whale of a day

My kayaker husband Jeff and I heard some exciting news: The whales were feeding closer than usual to the shore in Santa Cruz, making it a good time to see them in their natural habitat.

Katrina, Be careful, when the whales cruise down the coast they stay near the kelp forests. When they get to monterey bay, they have to make the deadly crossing from Santa Cruz to Monterey, unprotected from the kelp...where the great white is waiting for lunch, albeit, there are more attacks when the calves are heading back north with mom, but it still a dangerous part of the Pacific. Be careful.
