Movie theaters

Original post made by Mal, Danbury Park, on Aug 26, 2011

Wasn't the Dublin regal theater the one that bought out our (Pleasanton) theater then closed it down thus gaining a pretty good monopoly on this end of the valley? Pretty much explains the high cost of going to a movie nearby! It's time again for our own theater!

I'm sorry to say , that theaters are going to become a thing of the past. With all the new tricks that TV's can do, you can stay home and watch on your big screen and have you own snacks, and save the price of gas. Building a new theater would not be a sound business move.

Why would we want to build a Movie Theater? Where would we put it? Why do we want a billion kids from other locations roaming through the streets?

I don't get your logic. But, I am open to hear what you have to say.
