Union protests wages on construction of Livermore outlets

Members of a carpenters union, Local 713, protested outside Flynn, Craig and Grant Architects in Danville, publicly denouncing the firm for working in Livermore with a developer who allegedly doesn't use standard wage and education practices. The firm's CEO said the protest is misdirected.

Yep, Mike, the unions ought to just roll over and let the businesses run roughshod over them and let the businesses collect virtually the entire pie. Good thinkin', fella.

Oh, sorry Mike. COMPETE. Of course. It must have been the Shake-down Show that got me off point. Unions COMPETING constitutes being part of a Shake-down Show. Oh, I see. Silly me.

I'm in contact with 7 posters on this blog. We meet for coffee, go to the movies and attend concerts regularly in Berkeley & San Francisco. sorry to disappoint you...

Hooray for the developer. I hope the developer holds strong and give a stiff index finger to the carpenter's union. If this development were in Pleasanton, the Three Stooges on the City Council would try to stop the development because they are bought and paid for by the unions.
