Fox Citing

Original post made by Nature Lover, Mohr Park, on Jul 13, 2011

Saw what I believe was Red Fox the other day in the old fenced orchard lot on Cameron in Pleasanton.

Long snout with a paint brush tail stalking a varmint – Too interested in it to mind me.

What a sight! Gary Bogue would have loved it.

We've seen red foxes here in the Vintage Hills neighborhood occasionally. Once one was trotting down the sidewalk, in broad daylight! We saw two young ones together on the hill in the open space behind our area last year.

It was brought to my attention that "Sighting" as opposed to "Citing" would have been the appropriate word.

I witnessed the fox hunting for breakfast. It was not issued a citation or commendation for doing so.
