New Pleasanton Water Bills

Original post made by hard times on Apr 4, 2011

I received the new Pleasanton water today. Seems the senior and disabled discount has shrunk. The Dublin service doesnt give discounts it seems. But, what happened in years past did the City of Pleasanton absorb those discounts and can't they continue to do so if they did?

The discount for seniors is still here. But, it ends if the senior uses more than the regular amount of water for a house with one family.

So, if your water use is high, you lost the discount.

This makes sense, as all residents should not have to subsidize seniors who use a lot of water (which suggests big household, over-watering the lawn, swimming pool, etc.) the senior discount is supposed to help seniors on fixed income. Not older folks in Ruby Hills watering 2 acres of lawn.
