Inefficient & erroneous PUSD work

Original post made by A Pleasanton Parent, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Mar 2, 2011

PUSD needs to learn to be more efficient & check their own work before sending out letters and distribute information to parents.

Last year Kindergarten registration package (specifically from Lydiksen school) sent to parents was an example of how bad their work was. The package has wrong date & day on several letters. In addition, repeated information was on most of the letters in the SAME package making it so confusing. It looked like no one even proof read the letters and check them before sending it out to hundred of parents.

This type of low quality work WOULD NOT be allowed in the corporate world - which I used to work in my previous life. Can public employees in schools have the same standard as in private world?

You should really go live somewhere else. This school district isn't worthy of any parent so perfect as you.

A typo?! That is inexcusable in this era of finely engineered word processors and school secretaries earning nine-figure salaries. I say fire them all. And DO NOT let the children see that typo. We must shelter them from the dangers that exist in the real world.

That packet shows the lack of professionalism in the district.

Did you mean to say "Last year['s]" packet and "hundred[s] of parents"? Also, your pronoun, "their" has a singular antecedant - tsk tsk! This sort of error WOULD NOT be allowed in the corporate world, you know. Maybe you should proof-read (with a hyphen) your statements if you're going to take the spelling high-road. Oh, and the past tense of "check" is "checked," FYI. It's a toughie, I know.

Maybe you weren't taught these things in your "previous life," but weren't you educated after you reincarnated?

"That packet shows the lack of professionalism in the district."

It shows lack of patriotism too, but they hate America, just like Obummer. I say Obummer because Obama is a bummer, get it?

The packets are mainly put together by volunteers. The problem is, the volunteers move on as the kids grow up, so the same problems continue as new volunteers try and figure it out. I'm sure everyone would be happy to remove some of the redundancy, so...go volunteer!

This attack on volunteers undermines our great national pastime of forming volunteer committees to prepare perfectly edited documents, staple them squarely in the upper-left corner, and to collate them into carefully aligned packages. If you criticize them too sharply, these volunteers will soon form unions and demand giant pensions when their kids grow up. Proceed with extreme caution.
