The Pirates of Emerson @ Fairgrounds

Original post made by Maja7, Vintage Hills Elementary School, on Oct 26, 2010

Has anyone been to the Pirates of Emerson at the Fairgrounds? It's pretty expensive ($20 per person) so I'd like to know whether or not, I should spend the money? I read the PW article and it sounds like it may be for older kids (teenagers) and not appropriate for my elementary school child. Anyone been?

I have been to Pirates of Emerson when it started in Fremont. If you like to be scared it is well worth the money. It is NOT for kids under 13, and at 13 it is still pushing it. I have heard great things about it being in Pleasanton and plan on going this Friday. It was on the Discovery Channel and is voted the #1 Haunted Attractions in the country.

Pirates of Emerson is a waste of money. It cost $20 just to get in and if you don't want to stand in line you need to pay more money. It's not even scary. Save your money. I wish I did.

My husband and I went with some family and friends last weekend. We were very dissappointed. The last three haunted houses we didn't have a single person try to scare us. Not only that, but we paid the $30 for the speed pass, that at least saved us from standing in the long lines. However, online it says that the speed pass gets you into all attractions...not true. You have to buy tickets for the other attractions. The General Admission & speed Pass tix only get you into the haunted houses.
