I thought most people in Pleasanton were highly educated
--- this article proves that is no longer true!

Dear "Highly Educated" Dina,
Most highly educated people who would take the time to critique a posting would provide substantive information, including their source, to back up their critique.

What specifically do you find inaccurate about the initial post?

This was the lowest hanging fruit of the inaccuracies. I won't waste time with the rest. Let us know once you are serious about a discussion.

What "Obama- and McNerneyCare" has done to us in a mere 6 months....

If you decide not to purchase health insurance, the IRS can keep your tax refund.

- Not accurate / misleading.

According to CNN health (Web Link)

The new law creates penalties in the tax code as an incentive.

An adult who does not have health insurance by 2014 would be penalized $95 or 1 percent of income, whichever is greater, so long as the amount does not exceed the price tag of a basic health plan. But by 2016, the penalty increases to $695 for an uninsured adult, and up to $2,085 per household, or 2.5 percent of income, whichever is greater.

and since you will be required to compute this amount on your tax return and submit the equivalent of a 1099 form stating how much you paid for your health insurance -- the statement is neither inaccurate nor misleading.

but thanks eversomuh for the reminder that none of the insurance provisions of obamacare kick in for four years for the average person

he trillion dollars in cost over 10 years for coverage of 6 years.

Yep and I wish the Democrats would have put in another provision:

If you cut off a limb while using a hand tool and you appear at the emergency room (and don't have insurance) the doctors should take what's left of you and use the parts to keep someone who did pay their fair share alive. That should pay for the insurance :-)

Enjoy your dinner.
