HARMERS Trail Of DESTRUCTION

Original post made by Very Concerned, Pleasanton Heights, on Sep 25, 2010

Yes, this came in my mail box and yes this has all been verified!
To those who have mentioned they would vote for this guy, please think really hard.

Let's look at his public and verified track record...

Harmer goes to work as a Corporate Lawyer for a notorious debt collection company.

NEXT:

Harmer becomes a Lawer for Providian Financial, a credit card company fined millions for ripping of California families.

NEXT:

Harmer goes to work as an executive for Washington Mutual- Named one of America's biggest predatory lenders and res[onsible for thousands of foreclosures. (Should read hundreds of thousands as fact)

NEXT:

Harmer signs on as executive at JP MORGAN, one of WALL STREETS BIGGEST BANKS. HIS Company gets a TWENTY FIVE BILLION DOLLAR BAILOUT and HE POCKETS $159,992 in BONUS and PAYOUT.

STOP HARMER'S TRAIL OF DESTRUCTION BEFORE IT GETS TO YOU! VOTE NO ON HARMER!

Very Concerned,
You are an absolute joke.

McNerney cannot campaign on his record so he has to resort to character destruction. David Harmer is a wonderful human being, father, and a gentleman who loves America and its freedoms.

A strong economy and freedom is not on McNerney's agenda.

The residents in CA-11 are wiser than to believe the disgusting negative flyer.

An absoute joke?

Character destruction? Where is there ANY "character destruction"?

These are verified facts concerning Harmers extensive career as a Corporate Lawyer, most recently defending companies that bilked the American Public and created the financial destruction were are suffering from.

So you say this "wonderful human being, father and a gentleman who loves America and it's freedoms" just had it on his America Loving Heart to defend these companies as a Corporate Lawyer and they bilked American Taxpayers for Billions?

And then you insinuate this guy has a record and or agenda of "A Strong Economy"?

And you call me an "absolute joke"?

Wasn't David Harmer the one who got a government TARP bailout?

ABSOLUTELY, JP Morgan got Billions and HARMer got a BONUS!

You need to come to the realization that McNutty and 50-60 fellow traitors (Demoncats) WILL be voted out of office. McNutty then can focus on his non-existent company.

Mike,

HARMER may get some P-Town radical conservative enclave votes, however the majority of surrounding communities aren't as blind as P-Town folk and will have NO part in electing a Wall Street Lawyer who was on council of two of the largest recipients of bail out monies, one who walked off with our tax dollars in BONUSES.

Mr. HARMER,

You are no doubt reading all these forums! Are you just too busy to come on and have a discussion with us ordinary folks, or are you totally unable to rebuttal the FACTS on your life focus as a Wall Steet Lawyer for two major bailed out Banks on the taxpayers dime?

Personally I verified these fact via your Linked in Professional Profile. Did you close down that account as weel as all the others with your anti semantic rants?

VC, can you support your claim that Harmer has made anti-semitic rants? If it's true, I want to know. If it's libel, I'd like to know that as well.

Thanks in advance.

Mr. Harmer,

Your Linked in Professional Resume clearly included your prestigious positions at Wamu and JP Morgan as Legal Council up until recently when you decided to run for office and then systematically moved forward with damage control. Your Linked in Profile is down, all your social groups on the web are scrubbed of your insane rants and posts.

None of the radical web sites containing your views and posts are accessible at present either. Why is this?

You ran in Utah and are a good Mormon man,a great friend and father, so why all the damage control and deception Mr. Harmer.

Here is your current public resume. Why the non disclosure about being Legal Council for Wamu and JP Morgan, two of the biggest recipients of TARP bail out funds? You received BONUSES from failed banks that caused recession and hardship for millions of honest hard working Americans. Why do you stop at 1995? Please do tell because you were at Wamu and JP Morgan after 1995 and during the biggest Mortgage FRAUD scheme in history, causing the melt down of our financial system and the worst recession since the depression. Did the companies you represented and the resulting melt down affect you or your family? I don't think so, you were paid handsomely as a corporate Lawyer for these Wall Steet Giants and walked of with BONUSES after the taxpayers bailed these firms out and PAID your BONUS!

VC - you need to check your facts......Oh......Lisa Vorderbrueggen already has done that and published it. Don't you read? Heres the link:
Web Link

CD11: McNerney fires back at Harmer
By Lisa Vorderbrueggen
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010 at 2:01 pm in 2010 election, congressional district 11.

In the latest television ad in the 11th Congressional District race, Democratic Rep. Jerry McNerney is hitting GOP opponent David Harmer on the challenger's occupation as a former lawyer in the banking industry.
The Democrat hopes to paint Harmer as shady lawyer who engaged in unscrupulous predatory lending practices and benefited from federal bailout program that the Republican now opposes.
While many may view a lawyer who worked for a credit card company as unworthy of admiration or a vote, McNerney's claims fall considerably short of the truth. Here's fact-check.

VC, seems to me that you use the Pleasanton Weekly as your own personal blog. If you are trying to be an investigative reporter - in order to be credible you need to research everything. But it seems you are looking for the "gotcha moment" or maybe you are just echoing the McNerney line which comes from the Obama/Pelosi playbook....if you can't stand on your positions, record and issues - then besmirch the opponant. What a sorry person you are as well as working for a sorry candidate.

Sorry, "anti semantic rant" redacted in part based upon assumption of what Harmer was referring to in his verified forum posts.

What I was referring to was the many blatantly prejudice and race related statement that Harmer made as confirmed on several forums and his blatant bigotry.

Being that the racial and ethnic make up of the community in which he was a Police officer and the comments he made, anti semantic could very well apply.

What he posted was that he used to tell his fellow officers after responding to homes of those of other race, religion and ethnicity than his own as a caucasian Mormon Police Officer was as follows:

" you know what is .... is that these people can breed "

"you know whats ..... is that these people can vote"

"Alma Mater: B.A., Brigham Young University, 1984; J.D., Brigham Young University, 1988."

Isn't BYU an online university where high school kids take some classes?
Not an impressive educational background.

Aren't you confusing Harmer with Fred Watson? Don't get me wrong, I don't plan to vote for either, but your incorrect and irresponsible posts only hurt the cause of rational people trying to make out a REAL case against them on policies.

Or is that your intent?

Resident,

BYU is in fact a respected university in Salt Lake City. It doesn't make you look very well informed to not know that.

I'm curious....why hasn't Jerry agreed to debate Harmer? Didn't Jerry vote for bailouts - GM and Chrysler? Didn't Jerry vote for Obamacare? Didn't Jerry vote for the Stimulus - not once, but twice (additional stimulus funds)? Didn't Jerry vote for the Teacher Union Bailouts recently - legislation to use tax payer's limited resources, to prevent 16,500 teachers from being laid off in California, even though California is facing the possibility of economic collapse? Guess that is why he is endorced by the teachers. I also notice that Jerry voted YES on letting shareholders vote on executive compensation - hummmm, I guess that validates and falls into play on Carly's and Harmer's compensation/severance packages.

If Jerry is so proud of his record - then why not debate Harmer? Harmer asked for? In a letter delivered to McNerney's campaign headquarters, Harmer proposed that the two candidates participate in town hall meetings in Lodi, Manteca, Tracy, Danville, Pleasanton, and Morgan Hill. The proposed timeline includes three town halls in September, and three in October.

To date, Jerry has participated in one meeting - in Martinez. Where are you Jerry? Why are you hiding?

Yes those were Fred Watsons comments not Harmer... Thank
you..

What it says: "… Harmer's bank got billions from the Wall Street bank bail out."

JPMorgan Chase received federal bailout money but there is no evidence that Harmer benefited from it.

What? Salary and Bonus don't count as "benefited"?

Providian was sold to Washington Mutual, where Harmer continued to work as a vice president and associate lawyer in its credit card division. When Washington Mutual's home lending division bankrupted the company, federal regulators orchestrated a purchase by JPMorgan Chase in September 2008, Within a few months, JPMorgan closed down the credit card division and Harmer was laid off in January 2009. He was paid $485,779 between Jan. 1, 2008, and April 30, 2009, in salary, severance and bonuses.

VC, did you have anything of substance to post here? If so, I can't figure out what it was. You've noted that Harmer worked for some companies that many of us have heard of and some, in fact, have been in the news. You didn't link Harmer to any wrong doing other than he was paid a salary and received bonuses while working at these companies. The last time I checked there was nothing illegal about that.

So....Harmer has business experience and lists it on Linked in. Must be good at cleaning up messes - that's what the message tells me. VC, I take Lisa Vorderbrueggen's fact check over your insinuations. Looks like you are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. Nothing to see here…..move along.

Lisa V's fact check makes some questionable claims of its own.

"JPMorgan received received $25 billion from the federal Troubled Asset Relief Program roughly two weeks after the FDIC conducted the sale of Washington Mutual. But there is no evidence that JPMorgan Chase, which had just bought Bear Stearns, needed or used the TARP funds to buy Washington Mutual or pay the salaries or severance packages of Harmer and the other employees the new owner sent packing."

Put simply, If JPMorgan didn't need TARP funds in order to avoid bankruptcy, then JPMorgan should have refused TARP funds. It is that simple. A bailout is a bailout. We'll never know for sure whether or not JPMorgan could have paid Harmer's severance. That is the problem when the government makes these huge interventions into free markets.

Brother David will be a fine elder and represent all of us white, upper middle class, out of touch, LDS freaks very well. Jerry should debate him. The first question would be, "What kind of underwear are you wearing"? Case closed, you lose. Take your multiple wives and trace your self back to your roots in Utah.
