McNerney Votes "YES" to Rig November Elections Thru Orwellian DISCLOSE ACT

Original post made by Jeff, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Sep 23, 2010

Understand who McNerney is. He wants to RIG the November elections thru the DISCLOSE ACT.

McNerney and the other Congressional Democrats (plus 2 RINOs) who voted for the Orwellian DISCLOSE ACT have utter contempt for freedom and the 1st Amendment of Free Speech.

This DISCLOSE ACT is intended to deter organizations --- (unions are exempt from this) --- from engaging in any political speech. No surprise there, since unions support Democrats almost exclusively, with huge amounts of money. And the majority party is moving this bill at a breakneck pace through Congress to have it in place for the November elections, because Democrats fear November will be their election Waterloo.

The DISCLOSE Act would ban certain government contractors from engaging in any political speech, yet unions that represent government employees, and organizations like Planned Parenthood that receive large amounts of federal grants, would not be affected. American companies with American workers and American officers could be banned from speaking if a small minority of their shareholders are foreigners, yet unions with foreign officers and foreign members could spend as much money on political advocacy as they want. And many of the new disclosure provisions imposed by the act were made onerous and burdensome for the specific purpose of deterring political speech.

Tell McNerney in November that he's done enough damage and that it is time for him to go.

Seriously, if we've learned anything from the past 30 years is that the only wasted vote is a vote for the Republicans or Democrats. They are for more invested in the success of their party than the success of the country. Don't play their game.

Today's SILENCING of a group, to the benefit of a select group who steals from & threatens it's mandated members is.. so NOT American.! The intimidated hostage members of unions control all our elections today from councils, mayors, legislatures, congress to President....yet they happily remove freedom & rights guaranteed by our Consitution. This is an assult, not just on the silenced, but on our Consitution.

Can anybody think of a fair, logical, justified reason why unions should be a protected class, given the power to control all elections in America ? Who so twisted and corrupt can
rationalize why ignorant, protected thugs have the largest special interest group, rivaling lawyers, teachers, and elite greens in the Sierra Club....who together own most politicians in America.
The founders would neverd believe that combo ownership could happen, and ultimately destroy America.

@We shouldn't be silenced:

I am one of your "ignorant, protected thugs". I am also a mother of three college educated children. I hold a Ph.d in microbiology. I am a scratch golfer and a gourmet cook. My husband of 27 years and I have lived in Ptown for 25 years. I pay taxes, am a Naval veteran and volunteer in this community as my health allows.

Your bigotry and ignorance astounds me, although it probably shouldn't.

'A neighbor'---congrats---what's your point? You can be the queen of England for all we care, but still be politically ignorant and a shill for the unions support of Dems and their demolition of America's greatness. Book smarts do not equate to common sense, but good for you all you claim to have accomplished, in spite of your affiliation.

Keep voting for McNerney and we keep getting what were getting! The alternative is not worse - What can be worse than a rep of our community voting with Pelosi 96% of the time? The time for change is no...Do something to contribute to your community, Vote for Harmer or stay home!

Steve,
"A neighbor" must have been hired by her union as a PR move to confuse the public about the union's true role...

... that of sucking the life blood out of their host organism (i.e. enriching themselves only),
... while offering virtually no value added or benefit to their host

(sounds like the definition of a 'parasite' to me).

ps...I have no animosity toward rank-and-file union members...only their union bosses who
