This is great news! Jim was a terrific principal when our daughter was at HP, and now he'll be a tremendous addition during our son's years at Amador. Congratulations, Jim!

Jim Hansen will be great for Amador! We will miss him at Harvest Park, but those of us with kids at Amador as well are thrilled with these news!

What a great addition that Amador Valley will have with Jim Hansen. He is an amazing man with such a huge heart and he always handles everyone with such class. I am so glad to see Jim at the helm of Amador Valley. You will see this school improve with leaps and bounds as it moves forward with progress in all of his tenure.

I remember when Hansen taught and coached baseball at Logan. Any other Eastbay high school may have been easy to turn down.

But we're talking Amador Valley High School, only among the Eastbay's greatest high schools ever. Amador's history, in many ways, is unmatched. Best wishes to the Hansen team in their efforts to add to the school's greatness. There is always room to improve.

Jim Hansen is an absolutely a wonderful choice. He is such a family guy with a great wife and
three kids. He's got so much experience at all levels, been a coach in basketball, track and swimming. He gets along with everyone! Lucky AVHS ! (Comment partially removed by Pleasanton Weekly Online staff)

So very happy for Mr. Hansen!! Amador is getting a GREAT administrator! I met Mr. Hansen 4 years ago when my son started at Harvest Park. He is now at Amador & my daughter is in 7th grade at HP. Mr. Hansen prides himself in knowing each and every name of his students & to me, this is not only amazing but so commendable. He is a great role model & all his students absolutely love him. Amador is LUCKY to have him! Congrats Mr. Hansen!

I wish Mr. Hansen was at Amador when I was! I loved my years at Harvest Park while he was principal. I don't think anyone better could fill the position. I'm so happy for him and for Amador!
