After 10 months+ Obama will have a press conference

Original post made by jimf01, another community, on May 26, 2010

What odds do you put that a member of the White House press "corpse" will have the temerity to ask a tough question?
How many times do you think Obama will shift the blame to Bush for the issue?

A few suggestions, but after a year there are so many more left unanswered:
Lee or Crystal?
Your campaign promised the most transparent White House in history. Why haven't you had a press conference in 300+ days?
How will 1200 unarmed National Guardsmen contribute to securing our southern border, especially now we have federal documents showing people from dozens of countries other than Mexico being captured trying to cross illegally into the US?
You have campaigned for four Congressional candidates in the past year. All four have lost their election. Do you think the Democrat Party can hold the House and Senate majority in November?
When you signed Health Care Reform, more than 50% of Americans polled were against it, and now the poll number has increased to 63% in favor of outright repeal of the law. In addition, the cost estimate from the CBO has jumped to over $1 trillion. Will you work with a Republican majority in the next Congress to make changes, or defend your law as passed?
Why weren't there any fire booms available in the Gulf of Mexico?
Did anyone in your administration offer Joe Sestak a job in exchange for his dropping out of the primary race with Arlen Specter?
The Democrat majority in Congress is this week pushing through additional deficit spending which is being called an emergency to circumvent pay-go rules. How much of a deficit is too much?
Will you fire that doofus Gibbs? Please?

Jim01 says "Will you work with a Republican majority in the next Congress to make changes..." Yeah, we did in the nineties and all we got were a bunch of hypocrites. Adulterers, gamblers, foot tappers in MN... sorry Jim but I see a sea of "doofuses" in the Republican Party.

Jim, it appears the posters from outside of Pleasanton have chosen to focus on one specific Obama failure and not the myriad of other items you listed that detail a pattern of an inexperienced, inept poser occupying the White House.
In cholas case, I would expect that he couldn't even focus on the issues for a nano-second without descending into his usual psychotic rambling.
Dublin liberal is another Obami apologist who can forgive or ignore the indisgressions of Obami's administration (Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Sestak, Bluemnthal) but is afraid to look critically at the numerous failings of this adminstration.
Thanks guys (and cholo) for your worthless contributuions.

It appears the White House Press "corpse" had the same strategy Steve. They didn't even ask about the American Idol winner being from Chicago?

Press Conference just concluded. President picked 10 questioners, attempted follow-ups had the mike shut off, they were inaudible on the feed (except the NYT reporter!)

8 questions about BP oil spill, even after a seven minute answer to the first question, after a long opening statement about the oil spill. President repeated himself over and over, then gave a wrap up trying to humanize himself, saying that he woke up to the oil spill and took it to bed at night. Even Malia asked him if he had plugged the oil spill!

The Pres did admit it was a failure not to have fire booms pre-positioned

1 question from Helen Thomas demanding a Afghanistan withdrawl.

1 question from an unknown individual asking about Arizona and immigration, she tried to ask what the 1200 Guardsmen were going to do there, but he didn't really answer that part.

1 question from FOX Major Garret (he got 2 questions in one) asking if Sestak got offered something to quit the PA Senate primary, Obama assured us that nothing improper happened (same thing Gibbs said) and that an official response was coming soon (I am gueesing to be released on Friday night going in to the holiday weekend).

No question on health care
No question on the economy
No question on the November election
No question on jobs for American people
No question on Cap and trade
No question on deficit spending

From Web Link

This was one of those hours where you wonder how the hell Obama got his smart, detail-oriented, quick-thinking articulate reputation.

CNN's Candy Crowley on the blame on Bush: "A year and a half in, that wears thin."

CNN's Suzanne Malveaux "rather incredulous" that Obama didn't know circumstances of MMS head departure. "Doesn't pass the smell test."

David Gergen, reacting on CNN: "If the government's been in charge, that's a surprise to an awful lot of people."

Geraghty on every time you hear Obama say his top priority, today in the presser it was the oil spill:
