Sharing Our Abundance of Fruit

Original post made by Dave on Feb 22, 2010

As I walk around neighborhoods during this time of year, I note many, many orange, lemon and some grapefruit trees laden with fruit that appear to be going to waste. I would encourage people to pick and either share with neighbors or to donate to any of the local food banks to assure the fruit does not go to waste, and helps out families, and individuals in need. Although I'm no youngster, I would be willing to pick and transport any fruits to local food banks.

If the branches are hanging over a sidewalk, then they are a "public nuisance." Take them and enjoy!
