Sen. Boxer ready for re-election battle against any of increasing number of GOP challengers

U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer dropped by a San Jose bus maintenance facility Friday to tout local stimulus-funded projects and proclaim she is ready for her re-election fight against a group that includes two Silicon Valley Republicans.

Anyone know where to get more details on the investments made locally through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act? If what is described here is true:

- $42.4M for 70 hybrid buses means $600K per bus
- $42.4M for 35 jobs means $1.2M per job created

this seems like a pretty dumb investment, especially when I see articles like this one that suggest mass transit isn't cost efficient:
