BART to offer free tickets to military on leave from Iraq, Afghanistan

Beginning in 2010, BART will offer free $50 tickets to active duty military personnel who are in the Bay Area on leave from duty in Iraq or Afghanistan, the agency's Board of Directors has decided.

I think Bart and all public transportation should comp all active duty military. Way to be leaders BART. Too bad it is not universal.

I think this is a wonderful idea.....but how are they paying for it?

They're not paying for anything.....the rides are FREE!
