They are trying to figure out what they need to do to keep control of congress in 2010. Obama admin is perpetually in campaign mode.
It's the economy, stupid.

A freeze is just for show.. There are some BIG things that would be good too. I watched a terrifying show on C-Span TUE. A panel of about 8 various experts were testifying before the Kent Conrad's Budget committee. Said we go further in debt about $11 Billion per day. EACH DAY the exponential growth is taking the debt to where in 10 years, taking EVERYTHING our economy can produce will go to JUST PAY THE INTEREST. Debt growing to where it can NEVER be paid off. EVERYTHING we're spending now is from China. The rest of the world will lose respect for us not managing our affairs. US led world economies LAST century, but we will slip in ranking, with China being world leader. It's our choice, but nobody, the welfare class, the political class, the wall street class, the public unions, nobody wants to bite the bullet and say NO, do without & eliminate the unnecessry..that would take courage, honor, & self-control. So we will continue to sink, rather than solve. The stimulus, the tiny bit that has been spent has gone to public unions, United Auto Workers, etc, and half is being saved for stragetic spending greasing the skids for the 2012 $$ for districts where the Dem congressperson is at risk.

Don't miss out on the discussion!
