What is Obama's strategy to get unemployment down?

Original post made by poster boy, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Oct 22, 2009

Our President seems focused on everything other than the wars and the economy and really gets upset when his press is bad as evidenced by his attacks recently on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Fox News, and Politico, but what is he doing about our jobs?

There's not much reason to come to this forum anymore when infantile participants steal names in order to post inane diatribes or worse, insult other posters under stolen names (sorry Stacey, but I'm sure you know that rude comment yesterday wasn't really me). There are people here expecting to be taken seriously while calling poster boy "Pee Boy." I wonder if these "adults" realize what they are contributing to the integrity and image of the conservative movement.

SC, let's not forget the frequent use of the term [Portion removed due to disrespectful comment or offensive language] . It's a two-way street, friend.

Jake,
I totally agree with you. I have *never* used that term in my posts - I think it's awful. I think I've done a good job of avoiding pejorative language in my posts, except in response to a direct attack, and have absolutely *not* been given the same consideration in return. It's great to engage in online discussions, but the level of disrespect I see and have received on this forum is over the top.

Stay Cool,

You're right I think some adolescent boys have taken over these forums. I can remember being thirteen years old. It can be frustrating. This could be the only outlet for their anger.

Note that I'm not a left winger or a Democrat, and neither is Stacey, but get attacked as much as you and poster boy by these kids.

There's been no evidence of a plan to get unemployment down. There's been nothing for jobs that contribute to the GDP. The money's gone to public union jobs. Clunkers was a brief flash that stole all the sales for the next several months...no they're in worse shape than they were before. It really screwed with the flow of the market & goods too.
We need real jobs for COMPANIES that MAKE / PRODUCE SOMETHING that contribute to the GDP....not more PUBLIC jobs with retirements that we can't affort...just makes balance sheet worse.

I see stimulus funds are coming in for food for the homeless ????? They'd probably rather have a job to buy their OWN food. But let's set up some more government jobs that go on into perpetuity !!! Yea! that otta sitmulate.

Folks, it's really time we stop looking to our government to bring anything up or down. This administration does not care about bringing unemployment down. If they did, they would have slated stimulus money in a manner that would have brought it down. When you have $800,000,000,000 to spend it really shouldn't be terribly difficult to create some jobs with it. Instead, this money has been doled out to special interest groups and pet projects that have little benefit to the average unemployed American. Remember all that sand that was brought in to only be washed away with the next high tide? It was a metaphor for the stimulus plan as a whole.

Isn't it high time we get rid of the corruption? Why on earth do we keep electing the McNerney's, Pombos, Pelosi's, Boxer's and Feinstein's who have long histories of being in bed with special interest groups? They treat us like we're stupid because we've been stupid enough to keep re-electing them!

Jeapordy answer: Halliburton

Question: what is the largest special interest group receiving HUGE kickbacks and special contracts directly from the White House and its appointees?

Cool talks about ' infantile and diatribes ' but that suits him plus excessive and longwinded. Enough.

Stacy and Cool seem to think we are interested in what they go on and on and on about. WRONG !
