Injured Child at Sportspark on Saturday

Original post made by Jersey on Oct 12, 2009

Does anyone know how the child is doing that had to be airlifted out of the sports park on Saturday afternoon? It happened during a football game. I haven't been able to stop thinking about that poor family all weekend.

We were at the game when the boy was injured. We were informed it was Supervisor Scott Haggerty's Son and the Father was present. We saw him. The coaches thought the boy would be fine as he was able to move his extremities. Don't know why the helicopter had to come. I guess to be extra cautious. My husband filmed the copter coming in and out. All games were stopped for about an hour while all of the 2 fire engines, 2 police cars and ambulance either drove onto the fields or waited in the parking lot. Our Grandson was there playing on the opposite field and his Grandfather had been filming his game. We are sorry the boy was apparently injured, while in play, we don't know the details and pray he will fully recover soon.
