Thank goodness the commission sided with Barone's. They really need to liven things up in this uppity town. Besides, doesn't the train run just a block or so from the area of the restaurant/residences. I can't think of anything more noisy than a train running by, especially in the middle of the night (I know, I used to live near train tracks). If you choose to live in a downtown area, you have to expect there will be a level of activity that might not be quiet and peaceful. A thriving downtown improves life for everyone.

I understand Councilman Matt Sullivan has appealed the Planning Commission decision to allow Barone's to have music. It will be interesting to hear what his reasons are at the next City Council meeting. I can't help but wonder if he isn't thinking about running for Mayor next year. . .

I rather see trains downtown. They were there first before the nimbys decided not to allow them back, like the Niles railway wants to do.
