Have you seen the Birth document posted on www.libertythink.com (libertythink.com) now dealing with Obama? Check it out!

So now why will the state of Hawaii not release his birth certificate?

Juan, it's a violation of medical records privacy laws. The State of Hawaii can't release it without the permission of the parents or legal age child; Obama himself in this case.

He's reportedly hired a law firm to enforce the sealing of all birth, travel, tax, education, employment and credit records. It's estimated he's spent over a million dollars of his personal or campaign funds to accomplish this. Some people think there is no 'birth certificate' in Hawaii.. there's only a 'Certification of Live Birth' routinely issued when a person is [or claims to be] born in a taxi, or at home, and not in a hospital or under the direct care of a physician. These were routinely issued to people who gave birth while travelling [Kenya, perhaps] or on a cruise ship or airplane.

A 'Certificate of Live Birth' or 'Certification of Live Birth' which was widely rumored to be counterfeit, was posted to.. and then removed from his website. That's basically what stirred up the controversy.

The Constitution of the United States says.. [paraphrasing.. I don't have my copy in front of me] "Only a natural born citizen of the United States is eligible to be President." The confusion over his place of birth directly affects the 'natural born' requirement. Many suspect he was not eligible to run in the first place. The fact that he is a Harvard educated attorney complicates all this. If he claimed to satisfy the constitutional requirements knowing that he didn't.. wouldn't he be guilty of perpetrating fraud on the electorate? \

A simple release of the information would answer the question. The Democrats challenged John McCain's eligibility because he was born in the Panama Canal Zone while his father, a U.S. Naval Officer was serving there at the time of his birth. He was certified as eligible to run.. all anyone asks is Obama prove 'his' eligibility...

[meaningful enough, Tango??]

The birthies are not interested in facts. Their mission is to delegitimize the President Obama
and Black people.

I agree with Chris Matthews that their is a dark current underlying birthie activity. It is called RACISM!

There are more violent citizens in the US than any place on earth. All it takes is one to murder President Obama and his family. Malkin, Hannity, Limbaugh,O'Reilly, and Beck are fanning the RACIST flames. What they forget is that there are an equal numbers of violent citizens who are on both sides of the fence. They also stand to be murdered by an offended citizen.

get the pic Juanita la cuca...

I have ZERO respect for rhetoric and or liars! You choose! America has no tolerance for radical right wing conspiracy theories!

A "certificate of live birth" is NO ROUTINELY issues to those having births on cruise ship or in "taxi cabs" or at home, so get your shi& together.

Obama was born in a hospital in Hawaii as the Dept of Justice, FBI, homeland security and Congressional Lawyers have verified! Obam is not playing into the insult that his birth certificate is phony, because he has no need to buy into right wing conspiracy theories!

In Hawaii the certificate of live birth is what issues are as a CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH period!

SOME people are trippin, because a black man with African heritage was elected, PERIOD! You all look stupid and at this rate will never see the Wite House, for a long, long time!

These guys probably believe that the US actually sent man to the moon an that the world is round and not flat. Look around people -- It is flat. Stop believing these government lies.

And bye the way, Obama is from Iraq, not Kenya. He's named after Sadam Hussein.

unclehomerr,

I'm glad you brought up McCain's birth in the Panama Canal Zone. At the time he was born, he would have been considered a US national, not a citizen. He was retroactively granted citizenship by legislation passed a year after he was born. Web Link Does that make him "natural born" though? Our government says he's qualified and that was good enough for the election.

Now we have a sovereign State of our Union declaring that Obama is qualified and apparently that isn't good enough. That's because the issue isn't really about Obama's birth certificate. The certificate is just a distraction. The issue is really just another move in the grand political game played between the two parties.

Hi Stacey: [ ps. I just learned it's not a good idea to 'bump' the 'enter button' twice! Message disappears!!

I've got a vague recollection of some minor official in Hawaii commenting that he/she had seen the 'original valid birth document'. I think it was someone like a hospital administrator or maybe the Public Health Director. I don't think that has the authority of a 'sovereign state making a ruling or disclosure on this issue. As I recall.. the parsing of the statement avoided saying 'long form birth certificate'.

If you have another reference, I'd love to see it.

I'm NOT a conspiracy theorist.. I'm not standing hard and promoting any theories.. I'd just, like many others, want to see the rule of law enforced and the confusion over this issue be cleared up!

Thanks.. unclehomerr..

"Open your eyes people he is literally destroying our country"

Johnny,

Why don't YOU tell us exactly what Obama id oing to destroy our Country?

unclehomerr,

YOU are a conspiracy theorist and your post(s) clearly indicate just that! Obama's legal birth certificate has been vetted as well as disclosed publically, so the entire birther movement is looking pretty damn silly!

Don,

so explain why he will not produce the birth certificate or show us the passport he used when he travelled to Kenya years ago? On the other issue of destroying the country, just how do you suppose we will ever pay back the amount of money he is borrowing for his programs? Completely unsustainable and will make the US just like California......broke. Did you see revenues are off 57% for corporate income tax and 22% for individuals? We are now broke and the Chinese mentioned they are considering capping our debt.

Get Over It because the topic is making you folks appear to be mentally unstable! YOUR cause is HURTING the Republican Party!

Source for forged Kenyan birth certificate found?
Over the weekend, Birther-in-Chief Orly Taitz released what could have been a shocking discovery: A document that was purportedly a certified copy of President Obama's Kenyan birth certificate, showing that he'd been born in Mombasa, Kenya, not in Hawaii.

It took just 48 hours to definitively expose Taitz's find as a forgery, and for the document that it was apparently based off of to surface. It's a certified copy of a birth certificate for one David Jeffrey Bomford, born in South Australia in April 1959.

Images of both certificates can be viewed below -- for comparison purposes, you can see a larger, more legible version of the forgery here. The similarities are striking; they bear the same seal, have the same document numbers at the top left and top right corners and have identical book and page numbers. The names of the registrar and district registrar listed on each document are remarkably similar as well -- the source has the registrar listed as "G.F. Lavender," while the forgery names him as "E.F. Lavender." In the original, the district registrar is "J.H. Miller;" in the forgery, it's "M.H. Miller," and the M is slightly askew, overlapping the period.

The source material was indisputably published prior to the revelation of the forgery; it was available on a family genealogy Web site and popped up in Google image searches. (The Web site is no longer accessible, apparently due to the sudden increase in traffic prompted by the exposure.)

Indeed, that's how it was discovered, by a California man named Steve Eddy, who posted his find to the forum at Politijab.com.

"I was just Google image searching and ... happened to come across a thumbnail. I spotted one, said, 'Oh! That looks similar,' pulled it up, and there it was," Eddy told Salon.

He'd been involved in debunking the Birthers before, on his own blog, but had eventually become tired of it, thinking there was nothing new to the story. The appearance of the forgery rekindled his interest, and inspired him to go looking for the basis of it.

"Normally I don't hang around political places much," he says. "Years and years ago I started a political channel on IRC, but that kind of burned out and I've been hanging out on the audio boards" -- he runs a high-end home audio business -- "and most recently they had a section there for people to talk about non-audio things, and there was this one nut there that kept posting, 'Oh, yeah, Obama's birth certificate's fake.' .... That got me hooked on that whole thing for about a year."

Now, even some of the most dedicated Birther supporters, like World Net Daily editor Joseph Farah, are pulling back and proclaiming their skepticism about the forgery. Farah, whose site published the forged certificate and gave it the boost into the Web at large, wrote in a column Tuesday, "if I had to bet on its authenticity, I would wager it is not." The column was, however, also full of distortions about the truth regarding the certification of live birth from Hawaii that Obama released during the campaign, and didn't acknowledge Eddy's find, which Farah might not have been aware of by the time his article was published.

The question of who produced the forgery, and why, is still open. It could be, as some debunkers have suggested, that someone was pulling a hoax on Taitz in order to further discredit the Birthers. It could also have been a true believer, or, of course, someone who just wanted money for it -- there have been attempts to sell a purported Kenyan birth certificate for Obama on eBay before this.

The forged Kenyan birth certificate.

Update: Just after publishing this post, I was alerted to a story in the Australian media, which has tracked down David Jeffrey Bomford, the man whose birth certificate was used in the forgery. He seems amused by the whole thing.

"That is ridiculous. Little old person in Adelaide, the President of the United States. I don't know whether to laugh about it or not, be worried about it," Bomford said. "It is interesting, someone from here being involved in a conspiracy -- that is so funny .... It's definitely a copy of my certificate. It's so laughable it's ridiculous."

Johnny,

How can you say that Obama is not a US citizen? Even if you believe he is not a "natural born" US citizen and was born in Kenya, US law grants citizenship to children born in another country who have at least one US citizen parent. Web Link

Johnny,

His birth certificate, legally vetted, WAS posted on his Web Site.

Obama is not longer willing, nor is the official Republican Party, to go further on this insane issue!

What has also been vetted, is the kenyan Birth Certificate so proudly
proclaimed by the birthers!

FORGERY! So Shut up! Move ON!
