State budget worsens as residents head to the polls Tuesday

Trouble at the state level is again trickling down to the Pleasanton Unified School District. More reductions to education funding is expected as voters will decide the fate of Measure G Tuesday.

From article: "The first reason was that an error by the state in the application for federal funding was off by about $2 billion."

Is there anyone out there who has been able to verify this statement? It's been several days and I haven't been able to find any reports in any other news outlet about there being any error by the State in its application for federal funding.

Let's just put it this way, if there was an error on California's application, that'd be HUGE news!
