High school 'JamFest' kicks off concerts in the park at 6:30 p.m. tonight

Young musicians will show off their talents starting at 6:30 p.m. this evening at JamFest, a special youth concert that will kick off the summertime concerts in the park at Lions Wayside Park.

Also performing will be local band, AFTERTHOUGHT, comprised of 6 students from Amador & Foothill High Schools. They will be performing original songs written by the band members. Very talented young men! They will ROCK your socks off :)

So thrilled to hear about activities in town for teens. There are some very talented musicians and it's great that they have an opportunity to play for their friends and families. Since we have the park, have the band shell and already have music for the aging baby boomer crowd, I can't imagine the cost is much of a drain on our tax revenues.
