Parcel tax debates on town forum are getting out of hand!

I have had it with the venom, innuendo, and name-calling on the town forum. Enough!
Attempts to provide information about the school budget and the parcel tax (from those both for and against) are almost entirely drowned out.
Instead, there's quibbling about which district gets more money, anger about why teachers don't have to take pay cuts, and veiled insults directed at anyone who doesn't agree. "Hate mail"? since when is a "letter to the community" hate mail? "Do it for the children?" since when is a person's vote a threat to children?
Way too much of what people write here would never be said out loud if you had to speak face-to-face.
