First Wednesday street party kicks off this week

A Cinco de Mayo celebration is planned for Wednesday's First Wednesday Street Party, the first of the spring and summer season.

The popular downtown affair is held on the first Wednesday of the month through September and is sponsored by the Pleasanton Downtown Association.

Wednesday's featured band is local favorite La Ventana.

I thought these street parties begin in May? We still have another week till May. And why is the PW sharing a storing from May 2008? We're in 2009. Maybe I went back in time last night while I was sleeping and the swine flu got a hold of me. Who knows...
