Council OKs downtown ice rink for holidays

The City Council Tuesday night approved a five-year contract with a subsidiary of the San Jose Sharks to operate an outdoor ice skating rink near downtown during the Christmas holiday season, starting this November.

This is AWESOME! The City of Pleasanton needs to have this outdoor rink to draw more people to the downtown area. Parking won't be any more difficult than during a Good Guys show or during county fair time. The Sharks are a great community oriented organization that want to be part of Pleasanton and we would be wise take advantage of their commitment to Pleasanton
