Treasures of Main Street

Original post made on Feb 10, 2009

It's easy to excite a kid. That's probably because they notice little things in life that mostly go unnoticed by adults. There are at least 10 fun treasures on Main Street that kids really enjoy.

Just a thought but who will the parent sue if their kid cracks their head open on the concrete after falling off the U shaped bar? Or leans too far to the side and smacks their head while spinning? Not a brilliant suggestion.

Also I'm pretty sure a passerby taking a walk would not be thrilled getting kicked by a kid flipping on the bars.

If my kid wants to go to a playground I will stick with the one at the park.

I'm wondering myself who the parents are going to sue if their kid gets hurt on the playground equipment. I'm also wondering what passers-by would walk into a kid flipping on the bars. Didn't they see the kid there flipping? Can the kid countersue the passer-by?

Sorry for the above facetiousness. It's a pretty sad statement on our society when kids can't be kids.

There are places for kids to play, we have some pretty nice parks in this town.
Its not keeping kids from being kids by having them go to a park or playground to play instead of flipping on a U shaped bike rack over a concrete sidewalk where people are walking.

You won't have to worry for long about anybody cracking their heads Miss Bel. Nobody is gonna go downtown anymore. Somebody will probably rip-off the bars soon and sell them as scrap. It's hard times.

Are you always so negative Bel? Try taking the high road sometime and share the joy with others. Take it from me, it will make you a more cheerful person!

It was fun to see the picture of Sara Grace. I was her Day Care Provider when she was 2-3 years old! Still love that red hair :)
