Tour benefits animals -- and maybe your garden

10 private gardens on display for 8th annual event

The Valley Humane Society is presenting its eighth annual Hidden Gardens of the Valley tour from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Sunday, May 19, a fundraiser to benefit their cats and dogs looking for homes.

For $35, participants can visit 10 private gardens at their own speed on this self-guided tour, looking for inspiration for their own gardens or just to enjoy. Tickets can be purchased online at http://valleyhumane.org, at the Valley Humane Society, 3670 Nevada St., nurseries including Alden Lane, Armstrong Garden Center and Western Garden, Town and Country Veterinary Hospital and Towne Center Books.

The tour will take place May 19, rain or shine.
