Ross donates $50,000 to Colorado fire victims

Customers also given chance to contribute through July 14

Pleasanton-based Ross Stores Inc. is making a $50,000 cash donation to the American Red Cross to help those affected by the wildfires throughout Colorado.

In addition, from today through July 14, all 30 Ross Dress for Less stores in Colorado will offer customers and associates the ability to make donations at the point of sale to the American Red Cross for the 2012 Colorado Wildfires.

"Our heartfelt sympathies go out to our associates and neighbors throughout Colorado who may have suffered losses from the wildfires," said Gary Cribb, executive vice president of Stores and Loss Prevention at Ross.
