Home businesses hit in weeklong string of burglaries

Computers and camera equipment were among the items stolen in 13 Pleasanton burglaries last week.

A $500 laptop was reported stolen from Collier's International in the 5000 block of Hopyard Road between 1 p.m. Nov. 6 and 7:15 p.m. Nov. 7; on Nov. 8 between 10:25 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. a Gateway laptop valued at $500 was stolen from Amplify Research in the 7900 block of Stoneridge Drive.

A $200 Toshiba laptop and a Canon D-40 camera with a 50 mm lens valued at $5,000 was stolen from a home in the 900 block of Clinton Place between 8:50 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Nov. 10; and a Dell laptop worth $3,000 was among the items stolen between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 15 from a car parked in the 3600 block of Bernal Avenue. Other items stolen include a $400 Dell Notebook computer, $100 in cash, a $100 Macys gift card, a $400 purse and a $200 wallet.

A burglary at a home in the 4200 block of Sheldon Court netted a Samsung flatscreen TV worth $1,000; that burglary occurred between 5:30 p.m. Nov. 10 and 7:15 a.m. Nov. 11.

Two bicycles valued at a total of $1,650 were stolen from a residence in the 1900 block of Greenwood Road between 4 p.m. Nov. 5 and midnight Nov. 8. One, a blue Giant model was reported to be worth $1,300 and the other, a gold Trek brand, was reported worth $350.
