Gunmen rob Denny's diners, employees

Police still are looking for three armed men who robbed employees and customers at a Denny's restaurant in Pleasanton on Oct. 20.

At 11:55 p.m., an employee at the restaurant, located at 6455 Owens Drive, notified police that an armed robbery had just occurred. The employee told police that three men had entered the business, pointed handguns at patrons and employees, and fled with cash.

The suspects were last seen running west on Owens Drive toward Johnson Drive. Police from Pleasanton and Dublin searched the area with the help of K-9 units and a California Highway Patrol helicopter but failed to locate the men, police said.

The suspects are described as black men in their 20s, dressed in dark hooded sweatshirts and black pants. They were seen carrying a black duffel bag, according to police.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Pleasanton Police Department at 931-5100.
