Team members Naveed Akhter, Sachin Dhar, Preston Hedrick and Marisa Victor from Foothill, and Hunter Laine and Arielle Siegel from Amador Valley were supervised by team manager Elizabeth Flores. In another challenge the team took eighth place with a structure of newspaper and glue that was able to hold 500 pounds. Competitors were 1,032 teams from 15 countries, which each used critical thinking and problem-solving skills to put together a winning design.
