I remember Van and his warm smile well. He was my Mother Jennie's neighbor at Pleasanton Gardens. I only saw him a few times after my Mom died. He always loved the cupcakes I would bring there and with a smile, walked away with a couple in his hand. Both he and Mick were good to my Mom.
