I loved my cousin Maureen. I miss her already and know that part of my heart is now lost. God Bless this gentle soul...and God Bless and Support her family. Love, Cousin Mary
I knew Maureen, from working at Alisal Elementary School. She always had kind words and a wonderful smile every time she came into the office. She was a devoted mom and cared deeply for her friends and family. She was always someone who when I spoke with her, left me with a smile in my heart. God Bless.
This is the most stunning tribute I have ever read in my life. Maureen was my older cousin and when she moved from Brooklyn to California we shared a bedroom for a few months and she would let me wear her white lipstick and play with her makeup. My heart breaks for Aunt Joan, Rory, Bill, Shannon & Brendan.
When discussing attitudes and actions that need to change in the world, Maureen could be swept away by emotion. Evidence, I guess, that it's possible to truly "care too much." And if it's a crime to care too much, then Maureen was certainly guilty. But perhaps we all need to be as guilty - and innocent - as her. She will be missed, but she left her mark.
