"Aladdin Junior," a stage production produced by SmARTSunlimited, will be presented at 2 and 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Livermore High School Performing Arts Theater at 600 Maple St.
The show is the 10th annual main stage production in Livermore by SmARTSunlimited, a performing arts school for children located at 53 Wright Brothers Ave. in Livermore. Some of the school's prior productions include "Beauty and the Beast," "Alice in Wonderland," "Pirates of Penzance," and "Willy Wonka."
"Aladdin Junior," produced in a Bollywood theme, includes authentic Indian costumes and dance movements. The performers are local children from East Bay schools who are learning more about the traditions of India. The students even had Henna designs on their hands (called Mehndi) during a four week summer camp.
