Spend an evening with Mark Twain tonight
Humorist is latest in museum lecture series

The Museum on Main is presenting Mark Twain at this month's Ed Kinney Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Firehouse Arts Center, 4444 Railroad Ave. Twain, portrayed by Pat Kaunert, will share his stories about mining the Nevada Comstock, buying a wild horse, and the big trouble in San Francisco.

The event is sponsored by Jim Gulseth.

Samuel Langhorne Clemens (Mark Twain) will retell his adventures out West, sharing stories about mining the Nevada Comstock, buying a wild horse, and the big trouble in San Francisco.

In the museum's "An Evening With…" speaker series, audiences come face to face with people making history today as well as actors who look and sound as if they have stepped out of history books.

Tickets may be reserved at 462-2766 or purchased at the door. Cost is $10 general admission; $5 museum members and seniors; $3 students and teachers.

The Museum on Main is located at 603 Main St. in historic downtown Pleasanton. It is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. For more information about current exhibits and programs, visit the Museum's web site at www.museumonmain.org or phone 462-2776.
