Homecoming dance tonight at Foothill High follows Friday night sweep of Granada
Falcons top Matadors 35-0; Amador Valley High loses to De La Salle 42-7

Colorful flags and banners dot the landscape along Foothill Road this morning as students at Foothill High School decorate the campus for homecoming, which ends tonight with one of the biggest dances of the year.
Students have reason to cheer. The Falcons crushed the Livermore Granada High School Matadors last night 35-0. Foothill scored two touchdowns in the first quarter, then another touchdown in each of the next three quarters to a stunned Livermore team.
This year's homecoming week theme is a movie series with the sub-themes Pirates of the Caribbean (freshmen), Star Wars (sophomores), Twilight (juniors) and Harry Potter (seniors).
Students have had a full week so far of spirit building activities leading up to last night's Big Homecoming Game and then the Homecoming dance tonight.
For those not at the dance, TV30 will offer a viewing substitute by broadcasting last night's game at 7 p.m. tonight on Channel 30 with hosts Ian Bartholomew and George "Dr. B" Baljevich, plus Anna Kagarakis reporting from the field. The game show will include interviews with coaches, students and other guest commentators.
Foothill's cross-town rival Amador Valley High School didn't fare so well last night. The team lost to De La Salle 42-7 in a game played at De La Salle.--Pleasanton Weekly staff. Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.
