Suspect wanted in armed robbery at Wal-Mart
Garden center cashier faced handgun in holdup late Sunday

Bookmark and Share
Pleasanton police today are searching for a man who robbed a Wal-Mart store at gunpoint Sunday afternoon, according to the Police Department.

Officers responded at about 5 p.m. to the Wal-Mart at 4501 Rosewood Drive on reports of an armed robbery, police said.

A man apparently entered the store's garden center, showed a cashier a handgun and said, "This is a holdup."

The man reached into the opened register and grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash before walking to another register in the garden center and threatening another cashier with the gun, police said.

The suspect robbed the second register of an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store on foot, police said.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 40s standing between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet with a medium build, police said. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, a black T-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact police at (925) 931-5100.

Is there a photo of this robber that was caught on Walmart's surveillance tape? They have cameras all over the place in Walmart, and perhaps someone would recognize this individual. He may live in the apartments close to Walmart?

Anne;

You are assuming the cameras are real and not placebos.
